How getting solar panel quotes works
Anyone planning a solar energy system can create a free project request on Ufkon. Your name stays sealed; approved firms interested in your project unlock it and message you on the platform.
Short answer
Ufkon is a project request platform that connects people planning a solar energy system with installation firms whose documents have been checked. You create your request for free; firms see the project while your name is sealed, and an interested firm spends credits, scaled to project size, to unlock your contact details and message you. The deal is made directly between you and the firm.
Four steps for investors

01 Describe your project
Enter the province and district, roof type and monthly electricity bill; the system estimates the approximate size (kWp). Your email is verified with a 6-digit code.

02 Firms see your request
Approved installation (EPC) contractors see your request while your name is sealed: technical details such as location, roof type and approximate capacity. Your name, phone number and street address are not shown.

03 An interested firm unlocks it
A firm interested in the project spends credits, scaled to project size (the kWp tier), to unlock your contact details. There is no limit on the number of firms; you see each unlock in your dashboard.

04 Message and deal directly
The firm that unlocks your request messages you on the platform. If you like, you request bids on one template and compare them side by side in cost per kWp. You sign the contract directly with the firm you choose.
What does a firm see before unlocking?
A project request is anonymous: a firm decides whether it is interested by looking at technical details. Your identity and contact details open only after the firm makes a deliberate decision and pays the unlock fee.
- Visible: province and district, roof type, approximate capacity (kWp) and the technical summary of the request.
- Sealed: your name, phone number, email address, street address and documents.
- A firm that unlocks your request sees your contact details and can message you on the platform.
- Your request may appear in the public request list at province and project-size level only, with your identity hidden; your name and contact details open only to the firm that unlocks it.
Rules for investors
- Your first project request is free; no card details are needed and your email is verified with a code.
- Until a firm unlocks your request, firms see only technical details such as province/district, roof type and approximate kWp; your name and contact details stay sealed.
- There is no limit on the number of firms: every approved firm interested in your project can unlock it once, and you see each unlock in your dashboard.
- The firm pays the unlock fee; the fee depends on project size (the kWp tier).
- Messaging starts only with a firm that has unlocked your request, on the platform.
- Requesting bids is optional; if you do, bids follow one template and sit side by side in cost per kWp.

How it works for firms
Installation (EPC) contractors see anonymous project requests after uploading their documents and being approved. A firm spends credits only after seeing the project; the unlock fee is set by project size in 5 tiers.
The firm messages the investor on a request it has unlocked and may submit a bid. The firm is always the party that delivers the renewable energy project and works on site.
What Ufkon does not do
- It does not install; the firm you choose does the work on site.
- It takes no commission on your deal and does not handle your payment.
- It does not declare a winner or show a "recommended bid"; the decision is yours.
- It is not a guarantor: the contract, payment and warranty are between you and the firm.
Frequently asked questions
Is creating a project request free?
Your first project request is free and no card details are needed. You can keep a set number of requests open for free at the same time; a request above that number, or renewing an expired one, may carry a listing fee. If a fee applies, it is shown including VAT before payment and is never charged without your approval.
How many firms can unlock my request?
There is no limit. Every approved firm interested in your project can unlock it once, and you see which firm unlocked it and when in your dashboard. Once you close your request, no new firm can unlock it.
Does my request appear in a public list?
Your request may appear in the live project requests list that firms can see without signing up, showing only the province (the region where there are few requests), the project-size range and the subscriber type. Your name, phone number, email, street address, district, description and documents never appear there; your contact details open only to the firm that unlocks the request.
Do I have to request bids?
No. You do not need to request bids to message the firms that unlocked your request. If you like, you request bids on one template and compare them in cost per kWp.
Who do I sign the deal with?
Directly with the firm you choose. The contract, payment, installation and warranty are between you and the firm; Ufkon is neither a party nor a guarantor.

The fee matches the project.
Project first, credits second. Before you unlock, you see the province/district, kWp, roof type, document status and how the requester was verified. The unlock fee depends on project size; on a request you unlock, you message the investor on the platform.
- No cap on firms, one unlock per firm. The card shows how many firms have unlocked the request.
- Verified requests. Every request goes live after an email code; for commercial projects above 100 kWp the tax ID is verified too.
- Written refund rule. Wrong number, duplicate listing or a project already awarded to another firm: your credits come back.
- Bids are optional. If you bid, everyone fills in the same BOQ template; your quality shows line by line.
